Japan is one of the most amazing, beautiful, and friendly countries in the world. From Mount Fuji to bustling Tokyo to zen-like Kyoto, Japan is a high-tech world mixed with the politeness and respect of their past. It was a life-long dream to go there and it lived up to all my expectations. Japan has fantastic food, beautiful temples and shrines, calming national parks, and a culture with a long and rich history. You won’t regret your visit here – it’s one of the most amazing places in the world. The Japanese always seem to do everything one up from the rest of the world. Whether it’s the rides being more intense, the lights being brighter, the food tasting insanely better, the people being so helpful (even with the language barrier), or their fashion being kookier and cooler than everyone else.

Japan, more so Tokyo, is like walking into another world. Neon lights, crowded subways, bustling streets, super cute everything and robots serving obento boxes. From the minute you step off the plane, you don’t even want to step back on the plane without thinking about planning your next trip back! My itinerary was unrealistically packed full of castles, temples, shopping, theme parks, ryokans, onsens, Tokyo, Tokyo, Tokyo and so many more magical places, people and things! I seriously thought that I would need a holiday from this holiday, but I felt completely at ease. Amongst all the flashing lights in Shinjuku and the quirky but cute world of Harajuku, I had this overwhelming sense of nature, calm and tradition.

Over the course of this week, stay posted as I will be sharing with you the top places to eat, shop, see and do in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.
